24/11/2009 - In the pink for Breast Cancer
Graham Riddy's close shave
Gibbs and Dandy have once again supported the Breast Cancer Campaign with a “Wear it Pink” day on 23rd October. Customers and staff dressed in pink outfits to raise funds and awareness for the charity.
Two employees at Luton were keen to shed their hair for the good cause. Graham Riddy had his beard shaved off after a mammoth 38 years and Brian Proctor of the Tools counter went one step further by having his locks removed and going completely bald.
A signed Luton Town football shirt was auctioned off, with customer Danny Torpey bidding the highest.
The cash is still coming in, and so far the total is over £2,500. If you would like to make a donation, please e-mail Gloria Sanders gsanders@gibbsanddandy.com
The total amount contributed by Gibbs and Dandy to the Breast Cancer Campaign throughout the years is £17,012.45. We would like to thank all customers, suppliers and staff for their generosity.
