NEW BRANCH ACQUIRED IN NORTHANTS

Gibbs and Dandy plc has strengthened its presence in the South Midlands by acquiring Timber Force UK Limited, a single-branch timber merchant based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
The initial cash consideration is £1.475m plus an additional amount for net assets not exceeding £0.25m. Turnover for the year ended 31st August 2004 was £2.25m. In addition, the freehold property from which Timber Force UK Limited operates is being separately acquired for the sum of £1.045m.
Gibbs and Dandy already has branches in Northampton and Brackley and this new acquisition brings its total number of branches to ten.
