GIBBS AND DANDY IMPROVING LUTON IN A ROUNDABOUT WAY
17.08.2007

GIBBS AND DANDY has become the first company to support Luton’s roundabout scheme by providing supplies to redevelop a roundabout in the town. The Dallow Road-based company, which provides a ’one stop centre’ for builders and home improvers, has kindly sponsored the roundabout at the junction of New Bedford Road and Barnfield Avenue.
The sponsorship was not only unique in Gibbs and Dandy providing the supplies to redevelop the roundabout, but was also based on the winning design of an Excellence in Luton school competition, which was won by Charlotte Metherell.
Amanda Evans, Marketing Executive for Gibbs and Dandy, said: “This was an excellent opportunity to work in partnership with the local council to benefit the community and at the same time support the school project. We were pleased to be able to provide the council with the building materials and Marshalls Paving they required to make the re-development happen.”
Cllr Hazel Simmons, Leader of the Council, added: “It is always a pleasure to see local businesses wishing to support improvements to the borough and on behalf of both the council and community I would like to thank Gibbs and Dandy for their involvement.”
