Staff and customers "in the pink"

Fantastic fundraising at Gibbs and Dandy branches and Head Office has given a big boost to the Breast Cancer Campaign. More activities than ever were organised this year, culminating in our regular “Wear it Pink” day on 24th October.
It all started in August when ladies from Head Office and Luton branch began a sponsored slim, asking colleagues and customers to guess their combined weight loss. Between them they lost just over 7 Stone. Next came a sponsored cycle ride around Stewartby lake in September, organised by Mark Adams at our Bedford branch.
“Wear it Pink” day involved customers and staff at most branches, some of whom dressed in outrageous pink costumes. An Eastenders plaque signed by the cast was one of many items raffled off at Luton, while Slough customers sponsored Dave Bunce to have his legs waxed! At Market Harborough, our newest branch, the office had a pink week which attracted the attention of the local press and raised £663.
